Many people seeking an energetic dog to be their exercise companion or family playmate are overwhelmed by the energy levels and sheer size of larger breeds. Pomeranians are the perfect pet for many environments and families. Because of their compact size, Pomeranians are very easy to care for. They rarely require stays at boarding facilities or extended periods home alone, as they are so small they can travel almost anywhere with their owners! They do require weekly brushing to keep their lush hair looking groomed. A small, soft carrier can house your Pomeranian during daily errands or on a long car trip. Typically weighing in at five pounds or less, the Pomeranian is a very portable little pooch and will be happy to travel with you.

The Pomeranian can easily adapt to apartment or condo life so long as it has the opportunity to enjoy local parks or regular long walks. If living in a house with a yard, your Pomeranian will love to run and play in it!
